DOUMENTATION

As a UK-based documentary and editorial photographer, I create visual narratives that capture real moments, creative processes and authentic stories for brands, designers, publications and individuals. My work focuses on documenting people, places and projects in a way that feels honest, considered and visually engaging.

This section brings together a selection of documentary photography projects across fashion, lifestyle, design, events and brand storytelling. Each body of work reflects a collaborative approach. I observe, respond and translate atmosphere, movement and detail into images that communicate identity and intent. Whether photographing behind-the-scenes moments, cultural events or editorial-led campaigns, my aim is always to tell a story that feels true to the subject.

Working primarily across Manchester, the North West and throughout the UK, I offer documentary photography for brands and creatives looking to build meaningful visual content. These projects demonstrate how documentary-style imagery can strengthen brand narratives, enhance editorial storytelling and create lasting visual records that resonate beyond the moment they are captured.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • • Project & Brand Documentation
I visually document the behind-the-scenes life of creative brands, designers, makers and cultural projects. I want to capture the authenticity of your process, people and environment. This includes both in-studio and location work that reflects the true character of your project.

    • Event & Experience Coverage
From creative showcases and fashion weeks to launches and live experiences, I offer responsive coverage that brings your event to life through honest, observational photography.

    • Creative Process Storytelling
I specialise in capturing the narrative of how things come together, from initial concepts and collaborative moments to final presentations. I like to give clients a visual story they can use across editorial, marketing and brand platforms.

    • Editorial-Quality Visual Essays
My documentation work is delivered in a way that reads like a visual essay, whether for web, print or campaign use.

    • Flexible Studio & On-Location Shoots
I work fluidly between controlled studio environments and dynamic on-location settings, adapting to the needs of each story and its context. This means I can document both staged and organic moments effectively.

    • Digital & Film Capture
Depending on the mood and purpose of the project, I use both digital and film formats to best reflect the story you want to tell and the aesthetic that serves your work.

  • A documentation project can be as flexible as the story it is capturing. Some projects are completed in a single session, which can be ideal for specific moments, events or focused pieces of work. One-off sessions still allow for strong, narrative-led imagery and are often a good starting point for clients new to documentary photography.

However, documentation is most effective when it takes place across multiple sessions or over a longer period of time. Working together more than once allows space to build trust and familiarity, both with the people involved and the environment being documented. This relationship naturally leads to more relaxed, authentic moments and a deeper visual story.

Longer or multi-session projects also allow for variation. Regular sessions capture different stages of a process, changes in atmosphere, and details that might be missed in a single shoot. The result is a richer, more considered body of images that reflects not just a moment, but the wider narrative behind it.
